Some fans have begun to see PS3 games arriving on the PlayStation Store on the PS5, which corresponds to a previous rumour.
The speculation is that Sony will launch a new subscription service to replace PlayStation Now. According to current sources, this is codenamed Spartacus and will be released in 2022.
So far, the PlayStation Store has uncovered Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones HD and Prince of Persona: The Forgotten Sands.
A user on the Trophy tracking website PSNProfiles recently created a thread about it, mentioning that the PS3 version of Dead or Alive 5 appears in a listing on the PlayStation Store for PS5. This includes a price, a description, and the option to wishlist it.
To be honest, this might be characterized as a PlayStation Store error, but based on recent speculations, this could also herald a move to backward compatible titles arriving for the PS5 as part of the new Spartacus subscription service, as previously rumoured.
