Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II Receives R 18+ Rating in Australia, Set for 2024 Release

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is a highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Recently, it has been rated in Australia with an R 18+ rating, attributed to its high-impact violence. Xbox Game Studios is publishing this upcoming action-adventure game, developed by Ninja Theory, set for release in 2024 on Windows and Xbox Series X/S platforms.

Ninja Theory unveiled Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II in 2019, captivating audiences with its gripping narrative and stunning visuals. The game gained further attention with a new trailer showcased alongside the Xbox Series X console reveal in December 2020. Actor Melina Juergens is reprising her role as Senua, the titular character. The game is set in the captivating landscapes of Iceland.

During the Xbox Showcase on June 11, 2023, Ninja Theory made the exciting announcement that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is scheduled for release in 2024. It currently doesn’t have a release date, but with this rating, it may be gearing up for an announcement at The Game Awards next month.
