PS Plus Essential subscribers will be able to download games including Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Axiom Verge 2, and Fallout 76 in January 2023.
Sony has yet to share the official announcement regarding the upcoming PS Plus Essential games, but Dealabs user Billbilkun has once again taken the front and shared the list of games that will be available to all PS Plus subscribers later in January 2023.
The games that are confirmed to be included as part of the PS Plus lineup are Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for PS4 and PS5, Axiom Verge 2 for PS4 and PS5, and Fallout 76 for PS4. Fallout 76 will still be playable on the PS5 through backward compatibility.
Billbilkun has a good track record so far when it comes to leaks regarding games including from the Epic Games, Microsoft, and PlayStation Store. While this is not an official confirmation of the games lineup for PS Plus Essential, it is as good of a leak as it comes.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is going to get a brand new sequel in 2023 which will be exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series S|X. Fallout 76, meanwhile, is planned to get a current-generation update later in 2023. It is not known if this PS Plus version of the game will allow users to upgrade to the new consoles, although it has been the case for some titles in the past.
Lastly, Axiom Verge 2 is an indie Metroidvania that is inspired by the Metroid series. The first game was also given on PS Plus so its sequel appears to be following suit.
