Some PS1 Classics Are Already Appearing On PlayStation Servers Ahead of PS Plus Premium

PS Plus Premium will offer a catalog of games from the PS1, PS2, and PSP. Some of these games are already appearing on the PlayStation servers.

Sony is adding two tiers to their PS Plus subscription. One of these merges the PlayStation Now service with PS Plus and it is called PS Plus Extra. The other is PS Plus Premium, which includes any of the benefits from the PS Plus Extra tier and adds a catalog of more than 300 PS1, PS2, and PSP Games. It also brings a cloud streaming service for PS3 games that were previously available for PS Now.

In a new update on PlayStation servers, some of the classics have been spotted including the following games.

You can check the images for these games on the PlayStation Servers by clicking on the link given above. These all have a specific content ID as well making it seem like they will be available through the PS Plus Premium service once it launches in Asia later this May followed by a launch in rest of the World in June.

  • Asia markets (excluding Japan) – targeting May 23, 2022
  • Japan – targeting June 1, 2022
  • Americas – targeting June 13, 2022
  • Europe – targeting June 22, 2022

You can get PS Plus Extra for $100 per year and PS Plus Premium for $120 per year.

In addition to these games, the Syphon Filter series has also been rated for the PS4 and PS5 suggesting it could launch on the new PS Plus Premium service.
