PlayStation Classics Pricing Reportedly Revealed, New Titles Up For Purchase In Asia

PlayStation Classics will be purchasable separately from the PS Plus Premium and Extra subscription. Their pricing has reportedly been revealed.

The PlayStation Plus Premium subscription will go Iive earlier in Asia ahead of the rest of the world. Sony appears to have updated the PlayStation Store with the new games so along with some of their features, a price point has also been revealed for them.

The global rollout plan for the new PS Plus subscription tiers was shared by Sony.

  • Asia markets (excluding Japan) – targeting May 23, 2022 (May 24, 2022 in local time zone)
  • Japan – targeting June 1, 2022 (June 2, 2022 in local time zone)
  • Americas – targeting June 13, 2022
  • Europe, Australia, New Zealand – targeting June 22, 2022 (June 23, 2022 in local time zone)

Based on this Asia is about to get the service later today and this is seen reflected on the PlayStation Store.

The following games have been discovered on the Store in addition to the already announced games lineup.

  • Oddworld Abe’s Oddysee
  • Worm’s World Party
  • Worm’s Armageddon
  • Ridge Racer 2

These games are available for 20 to 40 Ringgit in Malaysia, which roughly translates to ~5 to 10 USD or EU. It is possible that Sony might have a slightly higher price since they haven’t officially revealed it for the Americas and Europe so far.

Another interesting thing that was discovered on the PlayStation Store listing of these games is the new features that they will support. This includes save states, rewind, and a filter. This can be seen in the Ridge Racer 2 listing as well.

These games will be available as part of the PS Plus Premium subscription, or they can be purchased individually if you want them.
