Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition Set for October 6 Release in Japan, Includes Exclusive Bonuses

Horizon Forbidden West is set to receive a Complete Edition, scheduled for release on October 6, 2023. The announcement comes from Japanese retailer Neowing, which has listed the edition for ¥7,981.

The Complete Edition is expected to include the base game along with its recently released expansion, Burning Shores. While no official description has been provided, the package is also said to feature exclusive digital bonuses such as a soundtrack, an art book, and a comic book.

Developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Horizon Forbidden West was initially released on February 18, 2022, for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The game serves as a sequel to the 2017 hit Horizon Zero Dawn and is set in a post-apocalyptic version of the Western United States. The narrative follows the aftermath of an extinction event caused by a rogue robot swarm.

The PlayStation 5 exclusive expansion, Burning Shores, was released on April 19, 2023, adding to the game’s acclaim. This expansion will be supposedly bundled with the Complete Edition.

There is no official announcement yet from Sony or Guerrilla Games regarding this version of Horizon Forbidden West, however, they will likely reveal it soon. Just like its predecessor that received a Complete Edition later, Sony might also be planning to bring this game to PC as reported in a recent rumor.
