Darkest Dungeon II is a single-player roguelike strategy game from Red Hook Studios. This guide preserves a 65-entry legacy checklist and adds a practical route for its longer and more conditional unlocks.

Current-list note: The legacy checklist below is not the complete current achievement list. Steam currently shows 121 achievements: 97 across four base-game sets and 24 across two DLC sets. Recommended route

1. Build account progress first. Spend Candles at the Altar of Hope to unlock heroes and upgrades. Complete Confessions and hero backstories as you learn the combat and region routes.
2. Combine objectives during ordinary expeditions. Work on region clears, lair bosses, hero skills, relationships, and enemy counters while progressing. Keep notes on the single-expedition requirements before ending a run.
3. Plan the long challenges separately. Grand Slam requires the same four heroes to clear all five Confessions without a death. Hat Trick requires three lair bosses in one expedition; choose a route with enough supplies and a team that can reach every enemy rank.
4. Finish cumulative goals over multiple runs. Enemy-kill totals and stagecoach distance add up over time. Check your platform’s achievement screen to see what remains.
5. Watch the calendar for Loop Year. On Steam, this unlock is tied to playing on the game’s release anniversary, May 8.

Tips for conditional achievements

• Grand Slam: Keep the same four heroes for all five Confessions. A hero death breaks the streak, so prioritize survivability and avoid optional risks when close to completion.
• Hard Mode: Equip the Stygian Blaze before entering the final fight. Prepare a team for the added pressure and keep stress recovery available.
• Hat Trick: Route through three lairs in one expedition. Bring a party with reliable healing, stress control, and attacks that reach the back ranks.
• Triage: Complete all three services at the same Field Hospital visit: treat a disease, remove a negative quirk, and lock in a positive quirk.
• Utopia and The Clash: Enter the Mountain with a full party and the required relationship state for every hero. Use Inn items and manage affinity before the final route.
• 100-kill achievements: Focus on the matching enemy groups when choosing regions, then let the totals accumulate across expeditions.
