Warframe’s ‘Whispers in the Walls’ Cinematic Quest Unveiled, Promising New Adventures and Features

Digital Extremes has revealed an exciting glimpse into the future of Warframe during their 175th monthly Devstream. The upcoming Cinematic Quest, ‘Whispers in the Walls’, set to release in December, is poised to ignite a new narrative arc in the game’s universe, promising a captivating journey for players.

Creative Director Rebecca Ford emphasized the importance of storytelling in Warframe, stating that ‘Whispers in the Walls’ will not only answer long-standing questions but also set the stage for a new decade of adventures in the Origin System. The update will introduce a new enemy faction, the Murmur, characterized by their bizarre and formidable appearance.

A standout feature of the update is the Grimoire, a novel secondary weapon class that allows players to harness the Void’s power. This weapon will be integral to the storyline, revealing secrets about Albrecht Entrati’s master plan. The quest also includes new mission types, like Alchemy and Netracells, and an innovative Assassination mission with unique mechanics.

Players can explore ‘The Sanctum’, a new hub zone introducing characters like Loid and providing access to highly detailed environments within the Entrati Labs. Additionally, the update includes a secret new Syndicate for players to uncover.

Upon completing ‘Whispers in the Walls’, players will unlock Tennokai: Melee Heavy Attack, a feature that enhances combat flow without consuming the Combo Counter. The update also previews the 55th Warframe, Qorvex, equipped with unique abilities and a Deluxe Skin for Sevagoth.

Digital Extremes teased a special reveal for ‘Whispers in the Walls’ and more details during The Game Awards on December 7, promising exclusive assets and a Twitch Drop for the Sevogath Warframe.

Another major announcement is the introduction of Cross Platform Save, initially available to select players in December, with a complete rollout expected by the end of 2023. This feature will allow players across different platforms to save and access their game progress, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.
