Starfield has been listed as coming in early 2023 according to Xbox Game Pass suggesting it has only been delayed for a few months.
When Starfield was pushed from its 2022 release date to 2023, it was listed as the first half of 2023 which could suggest a release date between January to June. This has been narrowed down further as the game has been found with an updated listing of early 2023 on the Xbox Game Pass store page.
It could mean that the game might arrive between January to March, which will make its delay just a few more months of extra polish.
We haven’t seen much from Starfield aside from a few leaked screenshots from the game, but it seems well poised to be an exciting new IP based on its premise. It is being developed under the direction of Todd Howard who has several critically acclaimed games under his belt including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4.
