Ray-Tracing is now supported in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Man Eater on the PS5 and XSX

Two titles were updated today to provide ray-tracing support on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. They are Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Maneater.

Maneater received a free update today for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Tripwire Interactive revealed new features like ray-tracing support for the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, like Maneater, has been upgraded to include ray-tracing capabilities. This may be changed by going into the game’s video settings.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy launched with two gameplay modes. The first is the Quality mode, which limits the frame rate to 30 FPS and operates at 4K resolution. The other option is the performance mode, which allows the game to operate at up to 60 frames per second while lowering the resolution to 1080p.

Maneater on PS5 and Xbox Series X supports 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. We’re not sure if the new ray-tracing support has reduced the 60 FPS performance or if it’s a separate mode. It is pretty unusual to find a game that supports both ray-tracing and 60 frames per second.
