Horizon Forbidden West Retail Copy Has Already Been Leaked, Prologue Details, and More

Horizon Forbidden West is set to release on February 18, but a retail copy of the PS5 version, as well as some other details, have leaked.

The person who was able to obtain a retail copy of the game shared an image of the box art as well as confirmation that it comes on two discs. Since the digital pre-load for the PS5 version is now live on servers, the game’s file size has already been reported to be around 90 GB.

In addition, we learn more about the game, including when the open-world portion will begin. It will take some time to get into the game because even after two hours, the game does not begin its title card, so the prologue is quite long.

According to the person who has this copy, it will also take some time before the player can roam in the open world. It takes 5 hours to progress through a settlement before the open-world portion begins. If you haven’t been keeping up with the leaks, there is also supposed to be a flying mount, though it may not appear until later in the game.

Another point raised is that 30 FPS does not feel as smooth as 60 FPS, which is not surprising given that 60 FPS is always preferable.

The game will be reviewed later today, February 14, with the official release date set for February 18.
