God of War Ragnarok’s release date might be closer than fans expect as the game is slowly getting a rating all over the world while its merchandise is also being available for purchase with a tentative release date.
God of War Ragnarok was recently rated in Korea. It has also been rated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Both of these ratings have been approved recently and normally when this happens, we usually get a release date for the game.
In the case of God of War Ragnarok, there is also an additional hint seen in the merchandise of the game that is available to pre-order online. They have been updated with a release date of September, which is also closer to the leaked date that was spotted on the PlayStation Database.

All of this suggests that the game is closer to release. There have been rumors regarding a potential State of Play event focused on God of War in the coming days and with the upcoming Summer of Gaming getting closer, Sony is also expected to hold their own event along with Microsoft.
It is possible that we might finally get a release date for the game which was originally set to launch in 2021 for the PS5. It is coming to the PS4 and PS5 after Sony decided to give the PS4 one last hurrah with the majority of their first-party games in 2022 launching on both their consoles.
