Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion File Size Is Shockingly Smaller On PS5 Than PS4, Pre-Load Date Revealed

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion file size has been revealed for the PS4 and PS5 in addition to the pre-load date of the game.

The game is currently set to launch on December 13, so there are just two weeks left between its launch. The pre-load of the game will go up early, on December 11, based on the PlayStation Store Database.

In addition to the pre-load of the game, details around its file size have also been revealed. The game will have a file size of just 20.9 GB on the PS5, while the PS4 version has almost double the file size at 40.5 GB.

The Xbox Series version, meanwhile, is at 23 GB while the Nintendo Switch version is 16.1 GB. It is the smallest version compared to other platforms but it is also likely due to lower-resolution assets like the cinematic videos that are featured in the game.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is a remaster of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. It is a prequel to Final Fantasy VII. This new remaster is essentially a remake with most assets having been optimized for the game and the gameplay tweaked to match the newly launched remake of Final Fantasy VII.

The game is currently scheduled to launch on the PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch on December 13.
