The schools of Cusk Eels are night-time specific and can be found around section N14, while schools of Frilled Sharks can spawn in that area or the parts around O12 at any time of day. It’s worth noting that Frilled Sharks are quite large, so you might want to wait on them.
The Sailfish, which is the second fish that needs to be sacrificed, is a bit trickier to catch. They can be found during the daytime just north of The Marrows, from I9 to K11, but the regular Fishing Rod won’t work. You’ll need either the Trawl Net or an Oceanic Fishing Rod to catch one. The Sailfish is quite oddly shaped, so it’s important to note that trying to fish up the Frilled Shark ahead of time will cause issues.
Once you’ve caught all three fish, bring them to the Figure in Red, and they’ll toss a book to you titled ‘Nautical Engineering.’ This book, when active, reduces the equipment durability loss speed by 15%, which is incredibly handy as you continue to fish in Dredge.
