High on Life is a funny first-person shooter that blends action-adventure and Metroidvania gameplay genres. To put its another way, High on Life is a hybrid game. The story takes place in a science fiction universe where weapons and their users are able to converse with one another. Justin Roiland produced them, and Squanch Games was the company that released them. On December 12, 2022, the game was made available for download on the Windows PC platform, the Xbox One console, and the Xbox Series X/S console.
High on Life is a first-person shooter that combines elements of action-adventure games with those of Metroidvania games. The objective of the game is for the players to eliminate certain targets, and the way the game develops is by having the players fight their way into the targets’ lair and then engage in a boss battle with the targets after they have reached their stronghold.
The players have access to five different “Gatlians,” each of which has its own main fire mode, secondary shooting mode, and “trick hole” firing style. The knife is the only kind of weapon that does not have any weaknesses or other options available. In addition to its use in combat, weapon specializations may also be used to solve riddles and gain access to previously unreachable regions.
