God of War – Horn of Blood Mead Locations & How To Solve Rune Puzzles:
The Horn of Blood Mead is a rare, powerful drink that increases the maximum amount of Kratos’s rage by three points. There are nine in all, and each time the player finds three horns, they will receive an increase in the maximum amount of their rage.
Here’s how to get these Horn of Blood Mead
Chest in River Pass:
- To get to this first chest you need to go to the caves in the middle of the river pass and Lake of Nine.
- There you will find the spike trap.
- Use that trap. Lift it up and hit on the wall to open a new path.
- Now you will see a place to climb up. Get on there.
- There you will get the chest. To find the ruin, stand in front of the chest and look for rune and destroy it.
Chest in Veithurgard rune:
- To get this you need to go to the South of the
- Get in front of the door and go back till you get to the bridge.
- The rune is behind the chest and on the cliff.
- Now for the last rune here you need to go towards the locked door and jump from the bridge to get to the rune.
Chest in Foothills rune:
- The chest may be found in the woods near the southern cliffs.
- You’ll see a pillar behind it once you’ve done so.
- The rune on the flaps will change if you shoot them.
- You must shoot them until the appropriate rune (from the chest) emerges.
- The second pillar is on the left, down the slope.
- Continue to the left until you reach the final one, which is hidden behind a roadblock and is engulfed in smoke.
- Shoot the hanging canister to clear the haze and reveal the rune, then shoot the pillar flaps to modify it.
Chest in Alfheim rune:
- We located the next one in front of the temple in Alfheim.
- Turn left and down the steps until you reach the door that won’t open.
- On your right, you’ll notice two rune-engraved bells and a barred entryway.
- Breakthrough the barrier to reveal the chest at the end of the passageway, with the last bell above it.
- The chest will open if you fire the three bells in fast succession.
- Another one can be found in Alfheim, by the Lake of Light, which you’ll also come across when seeking a route inside the temple.
- The treasure is perched on a ledge, and the runes are all engraved on bells nearby.
- To complete the problem, you’ll need to fire them swiftly.
- When you arrive at the ledge, peek through the fence hole to see two bells – one adjacent to the chest, and another further away, above the steps you used to get there.
- Turn around and shoot the third one through the hole in the wall after you’ve shot the first two.
Chest in Fafnir’s Storeroom rune:
- In Midgard, near Fafnir’s Storeroom, the sixth horn may be found.
- It’s between the woods in front of the hoard’s entrance.
- To unlock it, you’ll have to press the bells once more.
- You can find them behind the chest on the rocks, while the third is atop the waterfall.
- You’re best off standing close to the chest and starting with the furthest one.
Chest in The Mountain rune:
- The next chest is discovered was deep within Moria’s mines– I mean, The Mountain.
- The chest may be found in a dark cave near the bridge.
- Shoot the light crystal next to it to show the runes etched in blood on the wall.
- You must match the runes from the revolving pillars to those.
- The first pillar stands in the center of the room.
- You’ll locate the second one if you turn right and continue the route a little further.
- Dropdown close to it and gaze up and left to see the third pillar.
Chest in Witch’s Cave rune:
- Nest horn may be found in River Pass’ Witch’s Cave.
- Turn right and continue the route to the chest until you reach the long wooden bridge.
- Return to the bridge and turn left into the well’s tunnel — the first rune is embedded in the wall.
- Return your attention to the chest.
- The second rune may be seen on the bottom of the bridge, visible from the chest.
- You must demolish the obstruction to the left of the chest in order to obtain the third rune.
- After traversing an energy bridge, you’ll discover the red bomb to your left.
- The rune will be located on a ledge to the left of the concealed chamber door.
Chest in Cliffs of The Raven rune:
- The last horn may be found in a rune chest beside the dead troll in the Cliffs of The Raven.
- The Blades of Chaos will be required to carry the Winds of Hel energy to the three pillars that will activate the runes.
- Dock at the shore and follow the cliffs to the chest after the water has retreated.
- Just go to the cavern only with yellow vegetation surrounding the entrance once you’ve opened the gates and dropped all the shackles.
- Using the swords, capture the energy and transfer it to the orb above you on the left.
- Climb the chain to your left to reclaim the energy, then leap across the gap, spin around, and drop it in the orb on the cliff’s edge.
