TUNIC Achievement Guide: All 36 Achievements and Tips

TUNIC is an isometric action-adventure about a small fox exploring a mysterious world and piecing together an illustrated instruction manual. It is available on PC, Mac, Xbox, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Nintendo Switch, as listed by publisher Finji. The game has 36 achievements on PC and Xbox; the PlayStation trophy list has 37 trophies, including its Platinum.

Spoiler warning: This guide names hidden achievements, story events, and secret treasures. If you want to discover the game’s puzzles for yourself, use the checklist only when you are ready.

TUNIC achievement roadmap

  1. Explore and follow the story. Collect manual pages, find the three colored keys, and explore side paths. Many achievements unlock naturally, but two requirements are easy to miss if you do not plan ahead.
  2. Before picking up the sword, consider the Gun. “Bring it to the wrong fight” requires finding the Gun before the sword. Once you have the sword, start a separate save or New Game+ to try again.
  3. Keep 10 moneybanks together. “Too Cute to Smash” requires having 10 moneybanks at once. Do not break them for currency until the achievement unlocks.
  4. Get the standard ending before completing the Manual. Defeat the Heir before collecting every manual page to earn “Game Over.” Then finish the Manual for “Thank you for playing!”
  5. Finish the remaining exploration and combat objectives. Rescue fairies, find all 12 secret treasures, make 15 wishes, and complete the one-off combat and item-use challenges. Check the full list below.

If you want “What just happened?”, allow the fox to die once and follow the spirit-form sequence. No Fail mode prevents this event, so turn it off before attempting the achievement.

Tips for the easily missed achievements

  • Bring it to the wrong fight: This is the most restrictive objective. The Gun is hidden behind an early route that can be reached before the sword, but normal story progress eventually closes that opportunity on the current save. If you already have the sword, use another save or New Game+.
  • Too Cute To Smash: Moneybanks are fox-shaped items found in chests. Keep collecting them without breaking any until you hold 10 at the same time; then you can use them for currency.
  • Game Over and Thank you for playing!: Get the Heir ending first, before completing the instruction Manual. After “Game Over” unlocks, return to the world and collect the remaining pages to finish the Manual.
  • What just happened?: The achievement triggers after the first death and the short resurrection sequence. No Fail mode prevents the death needed for it.
  • Well done!: Spend 15 Golden Coins at wells over the course of the save. The coins do not all need to go into the same well.
  • Your pocket feels heavier…: The game’s clue is on page 17 of the Manual. It points toward repeated bomb use; if the achievement has not unlocked, keep using bombs during exploration and combat.

The standard achievement set is shared across PC and Xbox. PlayStation 4 and 5 add a Platinum trophy for earning the other trophies, bringing their list to 37 total. The Nintendo Switch release does not use this achievement list.
