Sony is rumoured to be launching Project Spartacus soon, which will combine PS Now and PS Plus with additional benefits, and new evidence suggests that it is taking place.
PS Now subscribers who had an active subscription have reported that their subscription has been converted to PS Plus automatically. This has been reported in a variety of places, including the Resetera forums and Reddit. This has led some to believe that Sony will soon announce their Game Pass competitor, codenamed Spartacus.
This is also happening in both directions, with PS Plus users receiving a benefit from PlayStation Now and PlayStation Now users receiving a benefit from PS Plus. Because the rumour surrounding Project Spartacus is that it will combine both of these services, many people believe that the transition will take place in the coming days.
If you have an active PlayStation Now subscription, it may be converted to PS Plus, or if you already have PlayStation Now, you may benefit from the PS Plus features. In addition, the upcoming Game Pass competitor will bring legacy games from the PS1, PS2, and PS3 to the service, though specifics have yet to be confirmed.
The PlayStation 5 has yet to emulate any legacy games on its own. Backward compatibility allows it to run some PS2 to PS4 games, but it still has issues with them. The original Bloomberg rumour suggested that the legacy titles would be available on all major Sony platforms, including the PSP.
