It has been announced that ‘Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth’ has reached a significant milestone by shipping 1 million units worldwide. This is a remarkable achievement for the ‘Like a Dragon’ series, which is well-known for its captivating storytelling, complex characters, and immersive settings.
Developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega, ‘Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth’ is the ninth mainline entry in the series. It serves as a direct sequel to ‘Yakuza: Like a Dragon’ and the spin-off ‘Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name’. The game continues the story of Ichiban Kasuga, the protagonist introduced in the previous title, and marks the return of Kazuma Kiryu, the series’ original protagonist.
‘Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth’ takes players to Hawaii, the first overseas locale in the franchise, in addition to revisiting familiar scenes in Japan. The game’s storyline follows Kasuga’s journey to Hawaii to find and reunite with his mother, while Kiryu deals with his health issues.
