Final Fantasy 1-6 Pixel Remaster Is Coming To PS4 and Nintendo Switch, Rated by ESRB

ESRB has rated Final Fantasy 1-6 Pixel Remaster for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The original rating was only for the PC version suggesting an announcement is due soon.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster was released last year on Steam and for Smartphones. This brings the classic Final Fantasy games with their nostalgic appeal to consoles and PC.

The rating for the remasters can be found on the ESRB website. They have rated all six remasters suggesting that they might launch as a bundle on PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

While the remasters don’t have a native PS5 version, they didn’t need one in the first place. They are fairly old games with sprite-based artwork that will run on any system.

Currently, the bundle that contains all six games is priced at $65.46 on Steam. It is possible that Square Enix goes for a modest price of $60 here for the games on consoles while also dropping the price on PC. Here are some of the new features of these remasters.

KEY FEATURES:

  • Universally updated 2D pixel graphics, including the iconic FINAL FANTASY character pixel designs created by Kazuko Shibuya, the original artist and current collaborator.
  • Beautifully rearranged soundtrack in a faithful FINAL FANTASY style, overseen by original composer Nobuo Uematsu.
  • Improved gameplay, including modernized UI, auto-battle options, and more!
  • Dive into the world of the game with supplemental extras like the bestiary, illustration gallery, and music player.

Look for an announcement for the Final Fantasy 1-6 Pixel Remaster in the coming days on consoles as the ESRB rating basically confirms their existence. These games are currently available on PC through Steam.
