The latest addition to the beloved Legend of Zelda franchise, Tears of the Kingdom, has introduced a much-awaited expansion of the character roster.
Among these new characters are companions who will assist Link during critical moments throughout the game. The gameplay trailers for Tears of the Kingdom have already teased some of these companions, with Link seen fighting alongside them in intense battles and dungeon exploration. However, there is still much to learn about these characters, and this guide aims to provide an in-depth look at the companions and their role in the game. We’ll be covering everything from who they are to their abilities and how they will impact your gameplay experience. Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom – All Companions:
So far, two companions have been confirmed for Tears of the Kingdom: Sidon, a Zora, and Tulin, a Rito. Sidon is a familiar character from Breath of the Wild, while Tulin is a new addition to the franchise. It’s likely that there will be at least four companions in the game, one from each of the clans of Hyrule: Zora, Goron, Gerudo, and Rito. We’ll update this guide as we learn more.
During gameplay, each companion will accompany Link through the dungeon area, helping to solve puzzles and defeat the boss at the end of the trial. In a gameplay trailer, we see Link fighting alongside Sidon on the sky islands, and Tulin fighting one of the large Zelda Tears of the Kingdom bosses. These companions look to be much more integral to the plot and gameplay than the Champions of Breath of the Wild, at the very least.
It’s not yet known whether companions will feature outside of these specific dungeons, or how many companions there will be altogether. However, it’s clear that the companions in Tears of the Kingdom will be more than just temporary allies. They will provide unique abilities and skills to aid Link in combat and exploration.
