The Kamizun Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is located southwest of the Riverside Stable, adjacent to the Tajikats Shrine.
Unlike other puzzle shrines, Kamizun is categorized as one of the Proving Grounds, meaning it is entirely combat-based. These specific shrine types come with a unique twist—you are not allowed to bring any outside equipment. Upon entering the shrine, all of Link’s gear will be unavailable, and you will have to rely on the shrine’s provided weaponry. Here’s a comprehensive walkthrough to help you conquer the Kamizun Shrine.
Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom – Kamizun Shrine:
Here’s how to solve the Kamizun Shrine Puzzle in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom:
- Entering the Shrine: As you enter the Kamizun Shrine, you will notice the shrine’s provided weaponry located ahead on the right side. You will be equipped with an Old Wooden Bow, 10 arrows, an Old Wooden Shield, and a Wooden Stick. These will be the only tools at your disposal to overcome the challenges that await.
- Strengthening Your Wooden Stick: To enhance the durability and damage of your Wooden Stick, immediately use Fuse on the rock located on the left side of the arena. Combine the rock with the Wooden Stick to give it extra durability and increased effectiveness. Additionally, you’ll find a Spiked Iron Ball at the back where the constructs are collected, but it’s recommended to focus on the immediate threats rather than venturing too far back.
- Dealing with the Constructs: Upon dropping into the arena, you will be confronted by four constructs. Your primary target should be the construct wielding the Thick Stick, as it can quickly deplete your heart. Focus your attacks on this construct first, ensuring its defeat before moving on to the others. The construct with the Wooden Stick and Old Wooden Shield will be less aggressive, so you can deal with it once the Thick Stick construct is defeated.
- Conquering the Long Stick and Bow Constructs: After eliminating the initial threats, you will face the Long Stick and Bow constructs. The Long Stick construct shouldn’t pose much of a problem if you apply pressure and keep it away from the Bow construct. Position yourself near the opposite corner of the arena to remain unseen by the Bow construct. Utilize your bow to take a few precise shots and defeat the remaining construct.
- Claiming Your Reward: With all the constructs defeated, victory will be yours. As a reward for your triumph, you will discover the Spring Shield with 11 defenses in a chest located past the exit door of the shrine.
By following this walkthrough, you will successfully navigate the Kamizun Shrine in Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom. Overcome the combat challenges without relying on your own equipment and claim the Spring Shield as a testament to your skill.
