But most of the time you will not be able to get some useful loot from a machine in HFW because its external components get destroyed after you kill it. So you will need to hit those external parts of a machine individually to take them apart before you kill them. However, h there’s a certain way that allows you to loot everything without taking off its components before killing it and it is known as “Easy Loot” in Horizon Forbidden West.

Horizon Forbidden West – Easy Loot:
Easy Loot is an option that you will need to turn on in the game. You will get to turn on this option by changing your difficulty settings to custom. Here’s how to turn on Easy Loot in Horizon Forbidden West:
- Press the Options button from your controller to pause the game.
- Open Settings and navigate to the General Tab.
- Set your difficulty settings to Custom, and you will get six new options I.e
1. Damage To Aloy
2. Enemy Health
3. Easy Loot
4. Concentration Duration
5. Auto Concentration
6. Auto Heal - Turn Easy Loot on and set the remaining five options as per your need. Once the Easy Loot option is on, you will not have to take off the external parts of the machine to loot them.
- You can then just search its wreckage to loot all of its external parts.
