Dredge is a survival game that puts you in the shoes of a survivor stranded on a post-apocalyptic world that is flooded and dangerous.
You must navigate treacherous waters in your boat to scavenge for resources, upgrade your vessel, and fend off deadly sea monsters. One way to earn more money for boat upgrades and completing your Encyclopedia is by catching Aberrant fish. The Sign of Ruin is an optional item in Dredge that increases your odds of encountering these mutated sea creatures, which sell for more than their normal counterparts. In this guide, we’ll dive into what the Sign of Ruin does in Dredge and how to use it to catch more Aberrant fish.

How to use the Sign of Ruin?
To use the Sign of Ruin, make sure you have it in your cargo before setting out across the water. The slightly-boosted encounter rate with Aberrant fish will automatically apply, so you don’t need to do anything special to trigger it. Just sail around and wait for the mutated sea creatures to show up.
