Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope – Co-Op Mode:
Here’s the answer:
The Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope release does not contain a cooperative mode or a Versus Mode in the manner of Kingdom Battles.
Xavier Manzanares, the chief producer of Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, discussed the game’s many multiplayer modes in an interview. No. We decided in the middle of production to focus on the solo experience. Because, actually as we brought many things from the original concept, we started to see how many elements it brought to the table, and to balance that, this revamped system, we wanted to focus our attention on the solo aspect. So, it was really important for us and we decided to assume that the decision, in order to scope out dangers, where we could go many directions, but then it’s unbalanced everywhere and it’s a game that never ships. So, it was a decision we took during production.
Due to the strategic nature of the game and the general consensus among players that the multiplayer in Kingdom Battle was underwhelming, the absence of co-op and PvP modes in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is less of a deal breaker than it would otherwise be. However, it is still something to be concerned about. Players who would have benefited from a co-op mode should consider whether or not the material they will receive is enough compensation for the feature’s absence and make their decision based on that evaluation. Ubisoft is now hard at work on three different DLC packs, and one of these packs will contain an unexpected cameo appearance from the well-known character Rayman.
