The game features powerful Wizard Kings who have returned to the realms to reign as gods among mortals. Players must claim and master the Tomes of Magic to evolve their people and prepare for an epic battle that will determine the ages to come.
In Age of Wonders 4, players have the opportunity to rule a fantasy realm of their own design. The game features a hugely customizable empire that provides an endlessly replayable experience. As players expand their empires with each turn, their faction grows and changes, adding a new chapter to their ever-growing saga.
Crafting followers is a key component of Age of Wonders 4. Players can combine bodily forms, societal traits, and arcane powers to build anything from a clan of cannibal halflings to mystic moon elves. Seeking powerful tomes of magic to enchant armies and evolve people is also an important aspect of the game. Players can physically see their people change as they morph into angelic beings or scions of chaos to face their enemies.
