Top 3 Co-op Console Games

There aren’t many good co-op games to play with friends, unless you count MMOs. The list of titles shrinks even more when you want to get together and play something in front of the TV instead of online. But there are still some decent releases. These are the best ones.

Borderlands 2

It’s hard to tear yourself away from Borderlands 2. There are a lot of interesting opponents and cool rewards here that you can play for hours on end. In the game, there are a lot of weapons. Each of them has its own features: large clip, accurate aiming, powerful damage and a weapon that explodes like a grenade while reloading.

Borderlands 2 is reminiscent of comic books, you don’t feel like you’re inside a movie when you play through the game, more like you’re inside a cartoon. But the textures are not blurred, every monster and scenery detail is well-drawn.

By the way, there are a lot of locations, the picture often changes, and so there is no sense of monotony. Of course, if we compare these graphics with modern games, Borderlands 2 is greatly inferior to them.

The players need to stop Handsome Jack, who has taken over the power on Pandora. He decided to get rid of all the opponents and blew up the train on which the main characters were traveling. They miraculously survived the crash, woke up in the ice of Pandora – this is where the game begins.

There are no simple room-clearing tasks here. In this game, you have to go through multi-step levels: first help someone, then find the right person to get a clue, and so on. There will also be shootouts with monsters. Killing enemies is difficult. They are artful: they spit fire, put shields and guards.

The co-op in Borderlands2 is interesting, because four players play as the characters with different abilities. For example, Maya Siren can paralyze enemies and heal allies. Exton Commando is the best shooter and throws a turret into the crowd of opponents. So everyone needs to pump up their skills, choose the right equipment and act in concert with the team.

Doom

Brutal and dynamic game where you have to kill everything that moves. Brutal, with colorful monsters, a lot of blood and great music.

The graphics in the PC version look just as good as in the games for consoles. There are some minor flaws in textures, but nothing critical or too noticeable.

The introduction is short, you don’t need to listen to the backstory for a long time, you have to act right away: kill monsters. The main playing time is spent on firefights, the gameplay is familiar to those who have played at least one part of Doom. First you kill the baddies, collect first aid kits and weapons, then you run around the arenas, find doors and keys, and kill the bosses.

It’s possible to play Doom with four people, but you cannot pass the whole story together with your friends, only the user locations. However, it’s worth it: to play the legendary game and fight with demons not alone, but with your companions.

LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes

Fans of comic books and fans of the DC universe are likely to enjoy the game. There is an interesting introduction and interaction of characters, colorful pictures and it isn’t boring to pass the game: a lot of locations and mechanics that dynamically change each other.

If we compare it with the first part of Lego Batman: The Videogame, we can notice that the graphics became better. The heroes themselves look less comical, the locations have more details and they are no longer clumsy.

Although the graphics remain cartoonish and if you compare it to modern games… Well, it’s better not to compare. This game is from the Lego series, and therefore should not seem realistic.

First, we are shown an awards ceremony in a swanky hall somewhere in Gotham City. Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor are nominated for the Citizen of the Year award. The ceremony is interrupted by the spectacular appearance of the Joker. Bruce escapes, Batman appears, but the Joker taunts him with Harley Quinn. From this point on, the player must defeat the villains to save Gotham.

Batman saves the city along with Robin, Superman, Flash, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman. Players can choose who to play as at a particular moment, because each superhero has his own abilities that will be useful to pass the levels.
